It was indeed the biggest geek event in Africa this year, as die hard lovers of comics, games, animation, films and virtual reality gathered at the Lagos Comic Convention 2017, hosted at NECA House, Alausa, Ikeja, Lagos. The 6th edition was with loads of fantastic outburst of magic and electrifying creativity, both young and old are dazzled from the exhibition hall to the speakers at the panel session, to interviews, films and gaming.
As the founder of the event, Ayodele Dreamaker Elegba said “The theme of this year is, Empower, Future, Heritage. The essential focus for us is to effectively empower all that are involved in our creative arts industry. This includes the entrepreneurs, artist (both veteran and young), and even prospective investors.”
Event spotlight include; A vibrant Exhibition hall with a lively stage for non-stop activities, Gaming Zone, Kid Zone (KidCon), Panel Discussion, FIST Awards, Cosplay, Red Carpet, Raffle Draws, Board games, VR zone, Animation Pavilion, Comics Pavilion, Film Screenings, etc.
The exhibition hall, features the big names in the Nigerian comic and creative art industries such as Comic Republic, Peda Comics, Spoof Animations, Meteor Comics, Zero Gravity Studio, Kaycee Games, Valiant, Komotion studio, CreatEves, Basement Animation studios, Centigrade games, Votex, Maliyo games and many others.
